Freshly Roasted Coffee Beans to make Spooky Halloween Drinks

Try some of these coffee drinks with a spooky twist, all made from freshly roasted coffee beans.

Of course we all know that Halloween celebrations aren’t just for the children. Take these perfect drinks to accompany you when you take the little ones out trick or treating. One of the recipes is for a pumpkin spiced latte coffee, usually served at Starbucks, but I guess you didn’t know that their version has been nowhere near a real pumpkin? Follow our recipes and try a making your own coffee drink with fresh pumpkin puree for an amazing treat.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

In a saucepan on a medium heat, place 2 tablespoons of fresh pumpkin puree, with cinnamon, ground cloves, ginger and nutmeg spices in small amounts. Cook for around 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add to this mixture ½ tablespoon of sugar and 1 cup of milk with vanilla extract. Do not allow the mixture to boil, then pour into a blender and combine until smooth and frothy. Add ¼ cup of hot brewed expresso coffee made from freshly roasted coffee beans. Then blend until combined. Pour into a large glass latte mug, add whipped cream topping and sprinkle with a mixture of your favourite spices, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg.

The Halloween Express

Take 1 shot of expresso coffee – mixed and cooled in the fridge. Add a small amount of rum and some maple syrup. Coat the rim of your coffee glass with a tiny amount of maple syrup. Dip in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar before adding your coffee liquid over ice.

The Black Cauldron

In a tall latte glass place a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Pour over 1 tablespoon of strong, brewed expresso coffee and 1 tablespoon of vodka, then top up with stout beer. Serve at once.

Franken Frappuccino

This drink originated a couple of years ago on a high street coffee chain’s secret menu, but now you can try this Halloween drink at home. The drink is a mash-up of ingredients, so take a green tea and mix it up with a coffee shot and ice. Add peppermint syrup, chocolate sauce and white chocolate chips. Finally top it off with some whipped cream and mocha sauce drizzle.

Bloody Caramel Macchiato

This delicious coffee is given a spooky twist with the addition of red food colouring to represent the blood of vampires. Blend an expresso coffee shot with hot milk and caramel syrup. Sprinkle in several drops of red food colouring for the perfect Halloween beverage.
